WHO
ARE WE?
House
and Garden Design.com is the web site of Souter Brown Design. Gayle
Souter-Brown established House & Garden Design in 1995. It comprises a small group of interior
and garden design consultants passionate about enhancing your life through great design.
We take a world view. Having
lived in a duplex in Canada, apartments in Paris, the US, and Thailand,
detached
houses in Australia, Malaysia, England and New Zealand, we have experienced a variety
of lifestyles, climate zones, big city, small town and country
living. Wherever you live, we
offer practical advice on home and garden design.
Gayle Souter-Brown's comprehensive e-book The Smart Design Guide to home and garden design showcases SBD's down-to-earth yet energising philosophy.
We work towards a sustainable future. Souter Brown Design are united in our quest to bring stylish common sense
and environmental responsibility back to home design. We design homes to suit the local environment and plan for global warming and climate change. We ensure
abundant natural light, fresh air, color and energy flow
through our homes. We plan gardens to relate to the house, and meet the
needs of the occupants. There should be individual, designer nests,
homes that make a statement, but never at the expense of practical,
functional design.
We are happy
to help with local design projects, or advise on distant ones where
appropriate. Contact us at
